Day 84 of #tracywearswool, time it was, oh what a time it was…
And here we are, in the middle of completely crazy times. Bonkers. How are we to cope??
The first year was so uncertain. What would happen?? Would the lock last a month?? How would we cope, and would there be enough toilet paper?? And I think many of us were in total disbelief.
And for me, March 2020 was the worst. I was sick for a month. 103 fevers. Felt like someone sitting on my chest. And my lungs felt like razors when outside cold hit the warm tissue…causing so much pain. And the cough, incredible. Not to mention that everything tasted like dirt. But I got over it, in time.
Looking at that last year, I spent a lot of time waiting. Waiting to get better, waiting for the lockdowns to let up, waiting for positive news. I was socially paralyzed, and just waiting.
I looked back after so many months, and thought, what have I accomplished during this time of lockdown? What have I done to replace all my old activities? How have I moved forward? And the truth is … I didn’t do much, change much, or grow much. So, I decided to change all that.
For those of you new to this blog …I am involved in a 100-Day Challenge, put on by Wool& — Same dress. 100 days. (And yes, you can wash it!) Part of my reasons for deciding to do this was to simplify my life, especially with my lifestyle.
What’s in store today:
Crazy 72 degrees in Portland today. Wow!! And a great day to enjoy the day outside.
Knitting, singing, and blogging. I played with the dogs, and met a friend for coffee who is considering the challenge! And Happy Hour — made it to the local taco place with Number 1 for some yummy food and adult beverages.
Day 84 of #tracywearswool and the color is definitely pink. I love this pink floral Edie Bauer blouse over Woolamina, then topped with the Cabela denim vest.
Still… Legs are enjoying the 72 degree weather, and believe me, this is considered “tan” for the Pacific Northwest.
” Wow, you been on vacation??” I get it all the time… (bwahahahha… just kidding!)
But not to worry, pretty soon, I will be brown as a berry from the beach sun, and wearing my post-challenge sleeveless reward dress! Which color should I order… there are so many cool ones!!
These are some of very favorite Dansko mary-jane clogs! Super comfy, and they look a little dressy!
And the Dude — always on high alert. Super sweet, little old man-dog.
Thanks for joining me on day 84 of #tracywearswool.
Stay tuned for the next 16 days!
Be well, and get out there and make some changes.
–Tracy
