Sunny, yesterday my life was filled with rain.

The weather is so unpredictable here in the Pacific Northwest.  Rain yesterday, sun today… and snow coming this weekend.  So we dress in layers, and in the winter… lots of them.  This is working out quite well for Woolamina and me.  And even though the sun was out… it was super chilly.  I even got out a hat!

For those of you new to this blog …I am involved in a 100-Day Challenge, put on by Wool&  —  Same dress.  100 days. (And yes, you can wash it!) Part of my reasons for deciding to do this was to simplify my life, especially with my lifestyle.

What’s in store today:

Two words: beach day!  The dogs and I took a little walk down to the beach.  So pretty, but windy and chilly.

And here we are coming back, through the field that leads to the beach and back.

I also practiced Appalachian Flatfooting and Clogging,  going over the foundation steps, and working on the sequences. Trying to get down the Tennessee Walking Step!! I made a blog page yesterday — you can see it HERE.

Here’s what I came up with for today!

I bundled up.. but put on my Sunglasses.  These are prescription — and come from Zenni. They are super easy to order  And at a fraction of the cost… I think these were about $40 shipped — and they are bifocals!

Boots are by Keen.  I got them to walk the Camino Santiago… and although I didn’t end up in Spain, as planned, I love these boots — you could wear them for weeks… or 600 hundred miles!

Today’s layers: Woolamina over leggings, socks, and boots, with Gap Coat and thrift store scarf.  And hat as needed!

This is one of the $1 scarves that I found at the thrift store the other day.  Doesn’t take up much room, but surprisingly warm.

Hat is one that I designed — you can get a FREE PATTERN HERE.

This is my favorite eyeglass case — since I am pretty much blind without them, I need to carry a case with my sunglasses for driving.  The girls brought me this back from their trip to Paris a few years ago.

WHEW!

So great to get some sunshine — soak up the vitamin D — and Vitamin Sea! I was happy to be able to make it down to the beach, and I know the dogs were!

More to come — so check back often!

day 38: time is on our side

I truly think that time is on our side -- it is how we use it that counts. I have enjoyed a lot of time, and I have wasted a lot of time.  And I guess it is what you do with it.  Some things seem like you are wasting time -- when really they are super important --...

day 36: flowers

Flowers -- I have a weakness for button down shirts with flowers on them. So today, I had to take my car in for her 6 month service.  I was going to wait.. .mostly because I thought it was only going to be about an hour long.  They said they would call me.  I wanted...

day 35: shot of glory

I got my little shot of glory today, but not in the traditional sense -- it was my second dose of the Corona vaccine! I can say that the people giving those shots at the Oregon Convention Center are angels.  Personable and chatty, but efficient and quick with the...
