Day 99 of the #tracywearswool dress challenge — it is down to the wire.
I am out in a remote little town on the Long Beach Peninsula in Southern Washington… pretty much miles from nowhere — if you are used to living in a city. But I love it here, and I love the smallness of it all.
And not far away is a fabulous Yarn Shop in the town of Illwaco: Purly Shell Fiber Arts.
They do lot of their own dyeing, and spinning, and also carry a select variety of commercial yarn. I was thrilled at this season’s hand dyed wool — with names picked from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
(Wait…. shouldn’t that be Wooly Wonka??)
For those of you new to this blog …I am involved in a 100-Day Challenge, put on by Wool& — Same dress. 100 days. (And yes, you can wash it!) Part of my reasons for deciding to do this was to simplify my life, especially with my lifestyle.
What’s in store today:
Knitting, yarning and blogging, and a few other things….
This is the Yarn That I chose:
I found this Banana Republic flannel shirt in the local thrift store, and it was on a half off day. Doesn’t get better than that!
Mary Jane Keens have seen quite a few miles, but are still holding up. So comfortable!!
Handknit socks are 100% highland wool, from a pattern I designed… still need to publish! One of these days….
Tulips in a row boat were in from the the Yarn Shop. Just love the way it looks.
And so happy with my yarn!!!
Thanks for joining me on day 99 of #tracywearswool.
One more day!!
–Tracy
