Tuesday afternoon… I’m just beginning to see…
By the end of the week, I will be a quarter of the way through this challenge. Wow… it’s gone fast! And I am beginning to see some unexpected benefits. I have been going through my current clothes with fresh eyes, asking “does it go with my new lifestyle and… do I need it??”
And I suspect this will invade the rest of my life and habits, too. At least I hope so.
For those of you new to this blog …I am involved in a 100-Day Challenge, put on by Wool& — Same dress. 100 days. (And yes, you can wash it!) Part of my reasons for deciding to do this was to simplify my life, especially with my lifestyle.
What’s in store today:
Portland errands: haircuts, shopping, and returning the boots that I found through Facebook Marketplace, and were not what I or the seller had believed them to be. Then dinner at home, and listening to public radio. Pretty standard for a Tuesday afternoon!
I got in my 1 hr dancing…. and think I am making some improvement! And my new oxfords on super sale came — and I got to try them out!! These should last at least 20 years!
More on my Appalachian Flatfooting and Clogging project HERE. Oh… and I got caught secretly practicing my pitty pats and shuffles on the linoleum floor in Fred Meyer — waiting for Number 1 to finishing looking at groceries!
Here’s what I came up with for today!
I have a fondness for clothes made by Prana. They are always well made, last for years, and super comfortable. This is one of my favorites, and I had fun with it.
I’ve seen folks on the FB Group who tie their shirts. I tried both down and tied… and am not sure which I like better. Number 1 says — NO tied up!
These are Chippewa boots. I traded another pair with Number 1, and I really like the split-grain for this boot. Quality made in the USA. I will wear them for years –good thing they are so sturdy and comfortable!
The weather was pretty pleasant for most of the day, but we are having snow over the next few days, and temps down in the 20’s It is even supposed to snow at the coast!
I also have a fondness for Carhartt. This is a jacket that was graciously handed down by a friend. And I am super grateful — it is one of my favorites. So well made, and flannel lined.
I still need to cull through the existing wardrobe that I currently have. I love them all…. but there are so many things that no longer wear that I might be able to pass along to someone else. Lent is coming….
Thanks for joining me this Tuesday Afternoon. More to come — so check back often!

2022 day 3

2022 DAY 2
