It is almost the end of week 2 of my Appalachian Flatfooting and Clogging Challenge.

And, I can honestly say that I am seeing some progress.  I have to admit…. I practiced a lot. I was a little nervous about showing up after I stated this HUGE intention for learning how to become proficient.

So I practiced for at least an hour every day.  And, then I practiced while cooking dinner.  And … while waiting for my coffee to brew.

And then… I got busted by my Number 1 for practicing in the grocery store.  She was taking a long time to pick out cream cheese, or yogurt, or something.. and I started thinking… “shuffle, set, toe, step…”

“MOM…you aren’t really practicing in the supermarket… ARE YOU??”

Of course not.  So, I just walked behind her, pushing my grocery cart…

Have you seen that scene in the movie Billy Elliot where he is practicing on the way down the street… that’s how I felt.

Appalachian Flatfooting and Clogging Videos – Week 2

Video 1 is a repeat of the first sequence that I did last week…. so I could see the progress.  I will post it on the main page as well… along with the first-week video.  You can see them side by side HERE

Video 2 is the pitty-pat sequence…. the one that I was doing in the market.

Video 3 is my favorite sequence…so far.

My two little “helpers” are Rainey (bulldog) and the Dude ( cattle dog/rat terrier).  At least she has stopped attacking my feet when I practice…

And here is a video of someone who is really good at this.  Not me…  but I’ll get there!
