Tracy Wright
a bit about me
I grew up on the Sunny Beaches in Santa Barbara, and frankly, I have some close friends who are astounded that anyone who grew up living on the beach EVER managed to finish school. And some will tell you that I was a little bit of a gypsy all along. (Tracy Wright in basic black, charging ahead!!)
In truth…When I grew up in Montecito, we all spent a ton of time either swimming and surfing at the beach or exploring the terrain on horseback. Lucky me, sometimes it was both!
My Dad taught me a lot of important things…. like how to ride a motorcycle in second grade. Hey, it was a Honda90… but I wasn’t very big either! (Do you love the gypsy poncho??)
Now, I spend some my time a the beach in Southern Washington, some of the time in Portland Oregon, and some of the time with family and friends in Santa Barbara. And of course… I still love to travel and try to arrange several trips a year. My life right now is really great, and I am truly grateful to be in the position I am in.
And I am pretty grateful for all the good things that have happened in my life, and even for some of the really crummy things — because they have become the best learning experiences.
These are the dogs in my life — The Dude is a cattle dog mix, and is mine, Dakota – left – is what we call an AKH — American Kennel Hound — sort of a German shepherd/pointer/hound mix, as far as we can tell. Titus, on the right, is a Cane Corso, also called a Cane Corso. And yes… he is big — 135 lbs, but also one of the sweetest dogs ever. Those are two of my Grandogs. All three were rescued from different shelters, and we just love them to pieces!
And recently, we have had a new addition!! Rainey joined our family in May, 2020. I just have to get them all together for a photo!
I believe in making our dreams come true!!
I live full time in an RV, which lets me really live like a Gypsy! I got it from my Grandma Hazel, who always wanted to get a trailer and see the United States! And it’ my office, too! So I can work at the beach…. or by the lake…. or, really… anywhere. One day, I would like to make a Grand Trip to all the National Parks.
And I spend as much time as possible, making music– singing and playing guitar with friends and family! I love all sorts of music, but especially bluegrass, Flatpicking, folk and old-time music festivals! Subscribe on the right, and I will send you info on events!
And… then there is the knitting…
I have been knitting for about 40 years, and designing knitting patterns for the last 6. You can find me and my patterns on Ravelry HERE .
Now that you know a little about me, I look forward to getting to know you a bit, too!
