I began knitting when my children were young — about 30 (Well… more like 40) years ago. Then I stopped. 4 kids — and being a single mom — kept me pretty busy! I started back up again about in 2003, and I did a couple of projects a year and a few more at Christmas knitting. Then I joined Ravelry. Wow… did That open the world up for me. I lived in a rural area. There were no yarn shops for 70 miles. You can find me on Ravelry HERE!
Knitting has gotten me through good times and bad. And I have met a lot of knitting buddies along the way.
In April, 2013, my daughter Brooke and I packed up the first Gypsy Wagon, an old canned ham style trailer, and moved with the two dogs to Portland, Oregon. And we LOVE it there! I got my daughter settled in a house, and then took off to explore the world — knitting, playing music and enjoying the heck out of life. I am now on Gyspywagon #3 and live full time, at different locations up and down the west coast. From The Washington Coast to the Mexican Border.
I Look Forward to hearing your story!
Personally, I Magic Loop almost everything I can… using a long circular needle — socks, mittens, hats. These have been my favorite — and are the ones in the feature photo. They are polished wood (that warms in your hands), very pretty to look at, and virtually never snag your yarn. The tips screw on super nicely and don’t come off while you are mid-row— or any other time. The set comes with two tightening keys and end caps to hold your knitting on if you have to remove the tips (which… I confess, I have never used.) This set is size 4 – 11US More info HERE.
